As a vegetarian, I experience problems getting all the necessary vitamins into my diet.
However, I thought I was doing a fairly good job with getting enough protein and iron in vegetables and fruit.
My wifey is a meat eater and lover, however she thinks I can’t be healthy unless I eat meat as well. I just wanted to prove to my wife that I was as healthy or even more so than her. Several times a week, I go to a group fitness class at my personal training center in town. I knew that the gym offered nutritional counseling, so I scheduled a meeting for nutritional counseling. I figured that I could prove my wifey wrong and go about my day. I spoke to the nutritionist about my current diet and she was appalled, because apparently eating leafy green veggies does supply you protein, but not nearly plenty enough. I was also lacking in B12 and calcium, and doing nutritional counseling was super informational. The nutritionist and I came up with a weekly diet plan that keeps me healthy while still remaining vegetarian! Everytime I go to the gym for my fitness class, I pop over and speak with the nutritional counselor about my diet. I do suppose I feel better now that I’m eating better food and taking vitamins. I notice that I’m sleeping better, I’m more motivated and I just suppose I feel way more alive. I’m having more success with my fitness class due to my energy levels too. I believe I’m starting to lose more weight. How great is that?
